Our fun-filled weekend began on Friday night when we attended another rendition of concerts in the park. We joined some of our friends to see The Flying Toasters perform. We love being outside as much as possible in the Summertime, so we really enjoy events like this where you can take your own food and beverage, listen to good music, and hang out with friends.
Afterwards, Josh and I enjoyed a drink on the back patio while watching Leo attempt to catch lightening bugs. Friday night entertainment at its finest!
Saturday morning started out with coffee on the patio in our pjs. Perfect start to the day in my opinion.
Once I finally got my butt moving, I decided to go for a nice little jog around the neighborhood. It was perfect weather for it.
Then we went around town running errands. I finally got my very own set of golf clubs! I am so excited to test them out this week at the driving range! Not to mention, I am kind of obsessed with the color grey, so this color combo is everything to me :)
Later Saturday night we had tickets to attend the Pat McAfee Comedy Show at the Palladium in Carmel. Pat is the punter for the Indianapolis Colts, and decided to try his hand at stand up comedy for his charity. He did a great job - it was a hilarious, fun time and a beautiful venue.
As I have mentioned before, Josh and I love to be outside, explore, and try new things.. one thing we started doing is fishing together. We picked up this little cheap 'tackle box' to organize all of our fishing goodies.
We spent a couple hours fishing in one of our neighborhood ponds on Sunday afternoon.
We didn't catch anything this time, but this little guy decided to hang out with us. It was a beautiful day to be outside and how fun to just be able to spend time together and laugh at how awful we are at fishing :) But seriously.
After our fishing escapades, we had some errands to run before tackling our weekly meal prep. Errands usually involve Starbucks (duh), so I got to try their new small batch cold brew. I added some sugar-free vanilla too. I thought it was delicious, naturally.
I must also share that I had the best salad ever on Sunday. It is from Which Wich. Instead of getting sandwiches, we went the Paleo route, and created our own bowls of salad - - I got tons of veggies, added some meat, then some oil and vinegar for the dressing. I am not great at taking food pics, but this was seriously SO good.
Then on Sunday evening I went with a friend of mine to the Matt Nathanson, The Fray, and Train concert. They all put on a heck of a show! It was the perfect girls night!
Well, I feel like this post was kind of all over the place, but that wraps up my weekend. It was definitely a whirlwind of activities, but I wouldn't have it any other way!
What did you do this weekend?
