Even though we celebrated our anniversary a few days early by exploring a few wineries together, we still celebrated on the actual day with a nice dinner.
We decided to try Prime 47, which we have never been to before. We love trying new places. It was highly recommended to us, and since it is a tad on the fancier side, what better time to try it out than on our anniversary.
From the moment we pulled up to the valet parking stand, they treated us like royalty. There gave us personalized menus that said, 'Happy 3rd Anniversary' on them, we received complimentary champagne, and a spectacular dessert on the house. Not to mention, the waitresses, hostesses, food runners, and managers all went out of their way to wish us a happy anniversary and make sure we were doing OK.
As we were perusing the wine list, our waitress recommended a red wine for us. We splurged on a bottle of the Alpha Omega II to share. Such a good choice!
Next, our waitress brought out the meat tray to explain each cut of meat to us. Very helpful to get a good visual!
We started out with an order of the Caprese to share. For the main course, Josh ordered the New York Sirloin with a blue cheese, horseradish, and herbs topping and a baked potato on the side. I went for the Filet Mignon with a crab, asparagus, and hollandaise sauce topping. I couldn't help myself, and ordered a side of the lobster mac & cheese as well. Best. Decision, Ever.
Just when we thought we couldn't force another bite, our waitress brought out the largest half-baked chocolate chip cookie I have ever seen. It was served warm with a dollop of vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce on top. Don't worry, we didn't let it go to waste.
Back to Paleo now! :)
Here are some photos of the delicious foods we ate - the photos are linked and taken from the Prime 47 Instagram accounts:
The folks at Prime 47 in Carmel really went above and beyond to make our anniversary dinner a special occasion. They even called us the following day to ask how our experience was. If you are near any of their locations in Cincinnati, Indianapolis, or Carmel I highly recommend giving it a try!
