You guys, Paleo pizza crust. Yes, Paleo pizza crust. When I saw Cappello's pizza crust at Whole Foods I just had to get it. This crust is grain free, gluten free, dairy free, and paleo friendly. It is so much more convenient than trying to make my own crust from scratch, which I have tried before.
So, my husband and I were on a quest to fulfill our pizza cravings last Saturday night by cooking this up together,
First, we brushed the crust with olive oil, and seasoned it to out liking.
Then we baked the crust according to the package. While the crust was baking, we prepared the toppings. First we tossed some arugula, spinach, and fresh basil in olive oil.
Next, we quartered some grape tomatoes.
By that time the crust was done baking, and it was time to layer the toppings!
After topping the crust with the olive oil drizzled arugula, spinach, basil, and tomatoes we added a few pieces of prosciutto on top.
Then, we placed the finished pizza back in the over for about 3 minutes to finish up.
Additionally, my husband added a few crumbles of feta cheese to the top of his piece. He loved it! Finallyyyyy, it was time to EAT! We will definitely be making this again, and probably changing up the topping ideas next time too.
Side note: Cappello's has other paleo-friendly foods I am hoping to try soon as well.. Pastas, pizzas, and cookie dough, This could be trouble! :)
