I recently posted about getting professionally fit for the first time for a pair of running shoes. The shoes I ended up choosing: Mizuno Wave Inspire 9.
After I bought the shoes, I went to Mizuno's webiste to learn a little more about the Wave Inspires. While clicking around, I found that they offer an online assessment to help you choose the right Mizuno running shoes for you.
After taking the assessment at myprecisionfit.com, my results showed that I should be running in the Wave Inspire 9 shoes! I was ecstatic - it was validation for me that I made the right choice - along with the help of the guys at BlueMile.
The steps of the assessment include questions like this:
- Gender and weight
- Foot type
- Foot rotation
- Foot strike while running
- Static leg axis
- Flexibility in the upper ankle joint
- Dynamic leg axis
- Finger test
*in each step, it explains how to answer and what to do to find the right answer for you
Below are the results of my analysis:
Overall, I am a fan of the precision fit test, and thrilled with my purchase - I don't know why I didn't do this sooner!
Have you ever taken a running shoe assessment like Mizuno's?
