With Spring Cleaning in full swing, I thought it would be appropriate to share some DIY Green Cleaning tips. Here are just a few of my favorites:
#1 - Surface Cleaner: To get counter tops clean, use a cut lemon dipped in baking soda. Afterwards, wipe clean with a wet sponge.
#2 - Sink and Stainless Steel Cleaner: To remove hard water stains from your sink, make a paste with baking soda and water. Use a toothbrush to gently scrub the paste into your sink, pouring small amounts of white vinegar onto the paste to help with tough stains.
#3 - Soap Scum Dissolver: Heat 1 cup of white vinegar in the microwave and then combine in a spray bottle with 1 cup dish detergent. Spray in your shower or sink and wait one minute before wiping off.
I love having a mixture of #3 handy at all times. I actually keep it in my shower so that I can clean it more often.
