I decided to share this recipe because the last few times I have made it, I was left with nothing but a licked-clean bowl. And as most of the recipes I have, it is super easy to make!
1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 - 8 ounce cream cheese block, softened
3/4 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup mini milk chocolate chips (plus extra for sprinkling
In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in the brown sugar until is dissolves and the mixture starts to bubble. Stir in vanilla and set aside to cool. In a separate bowl, cream the cream cheese and powdered sugar together for 60 seconds. With the mixer on low speed, add in the brown sugar mixture. Mix until combined. Stir in the chocolate chips. Garnish with additional chocolate chips. If made ahead of time, store in the refrigerator. Serve with animal crackers, graham sticks, vanilla wafers, fruit or pretzels.
