Gingham is one of those prints that never seems to go out of style. While I think the print is super cute and flexible, I do think it can be a tad overwhelming. If I’m wearing gingham, I like to break it up, like I did here. I think the vest just gives a little something to the look.
Gingham is also really cute when it’s a dress. I think with a gingham dress, wearing a similar vest or adding a big scarf or something would work. Since gingham is also a bit preppy (at least to me), I like the vest to give it more edge. Rolling up the sleeves also breaks things up.
I chose to pair the vest and gingham top with casual jeans and booties. This is a typical outfit for me in the fall while shopping, watching football, or happy hour with friends. It’s comfy and season-appropriate all while being cute!

This workout looks a lot worse on paper than it actually is - promise! Josh and I did this circuit together, and we both felt it afterward!
Hint - Try to complete as fast as you can to push yourself :)
Just about everywhere you look people are discussing recipes for the leftover turkey and sides you have from Thanksgiving. This blog post is no exception :)
This is the first year we had leftovers because it is the first year that we cooked a Thanksgiving meal in our home. To be honest I was looking for an easy way to just create a hodge podge of the leftovers, so what better option than soup?!
Super easy - just combine your ingredients in the crockpot and cook on high for 4-5 hours or on low for 6-8 hours.
- chicken broth (number of cups depends on how much leftover meat and veggies you are adding – and also how brothy or thick you like your soup)
- leftover turkey meat
- 3 long carrots, sliced
- 3 celery stalks, diced
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 small russet potatoes or mashed potatoes
- I also included my leftover green beans
- sea salt and pepper to taste
I hope you enjoy your leftover Thanksgiving foods!
I didn't realize quote how special it was to visit Magnolia Market until people started getting more excited about it than me.. some even went so far as to tell me it is on their bucket list to visit the Silos!
If you aren't familiar with what I am talking about.. Magnolia Market is in Waco, TX and it was created by Chip and Joanna Gaines. The couple has a show on HGTV called FixerUpper. I highly recommend it!
Once I was there, I took lots and lots of photos. Everything was branded so well down to the smallest details. It really is such an inspiring place.
Walking inside the gates of Magnolia

Getting a workout in less than 10 minutes might seem doubtful to some. However, if you are pushing yourself during this kettle bell routine, you will be a believer.
Workouts like like are meant to get your heart rate up and keep it elevated. This also means burning calories during and for hours after your workout.
The bonus of doing a kettle workout is that you are targeting several muscle groups at once!

So many of us are crunched for time on a daily basis, and I totally get that. BUT I honestly think there is always a way to sneak in some extra movement throughout your busy days. A perfect example of doing just that is this fantastic 7 minute HIIT workout. Just 7 minutes! Anyone can set the alarm 7 minutes earlier to get your heart rate up and get moving!
