I know this might be an obvious statement, but I am going to say it anyway: Drink more water!
- Good for your skin, reduces bloating
- Flushes toxins from your body and prevents constipation, detoxifies
- Supports nerve function, keeps your joints strong and lubricated
- Speeds up metabolism by aiding digestion
- Helps organs to run efficiently
- Being hydrated helps you work out longer and harder, regulates body temperature
- Prevents dehydration headaches
"Think of water as a nutrient your body needs that is present in liquids, plain water, and foods. All of these are essential daily to replace the large amounts of water lost each day," says Joan Koelemay, RD, dietitian for the Beverage Institute, an industry group.
A friend of mine recommended trying the drink you see in the photo to the left. Its called, Synergy. At first, I was not a huge fan of the taste, but after a few swigs I began to like it - one might say its an acquired taste. Plus, all of the health benefits are a nice bonus!

"One person can make a difference, and everyone should try."
I tried this homemade hair mask a few days ago, and because it is easy and inexpensive, I decided to post it. I didn't notice dramatic results, but it was only one application, so I intend to try it a few more times!
1 tablespoon olive oil
Mix ingredients together, and apply to sections of dry hair.
Let mixture sit in your hair for 30 minutes.
Rinse and wash hair.
Avocados are rich in a variety of vitamins and nutrients, including vitamin E and protein, both of which your hair needs to remain soft and healthy. The olive oil will help hydrate brittle locks, while the protein in the eggs will promote healthy hair growth.
