Radiantly You is a new family-owned company. They make organic and natural (truly non-toxic) products in the sectors of Beauty, Health, Baby & Cleaning. I am always looking for ways to incorporate non-toxic alternatives into my lifestyle, so I was pleased to be approached by Marla at Radiantly You to review a few products.
A note from the founder, Melissa Brown:
Thank you so much for being a part of my missionthrough purchasing our all natural, truly toxic free products. Our goal is to reduce and eliminate chemicals, one household at a time, by providing high quality and affordable alternatives. I applaud you for taking control of your health and urge you to continue to explore detoxifying your life - for yourself, your family, and your planet.
I cannot say enough good things about this awesome face wash I received...
Dead Sea Mud Whipped Face Wash - $11.50 / 4 oz.
First of all, it smells amazing! It is great for all skin types as well. The main thing I like about it is how it reduced the size of my pores, especially around my nose. Because it is also reasonably priced, I suggest trying out this great chemical-free face wash.
Expeller-pressed coconut oil, sustainably harvested palm oil, pomace (olive oil), rice bran oil, unrefined shea butter, water, dead sea mud, tea tree essential oil, vitamin E.
I was also sent a couple other samples to try out...
Amber Vanilla Body Butter - $14.50 / 4 oz.
Citrus Sugar Scrub - $12.50 / 8 oz.
The Amber Vanilla body butter is another favorite of mine. Vanilla is pretty much my favorite scent, so that was a plus. The body butter literally melts on contact with the skin, which makes it perfect for application right after a shower.
unrefined shea butter, expeller-pressed coconut oil, amber and vanilla essential oils
I have never been a huge fan of scrubs, but I liked the Citrus Sugar Scrub more than others I have tried. It works very well to remove dead skin cells, while nourishing the skin at the same time.
cane sugar, pomace (olive oil), glycerin, blue poppy seeds, and essential oils of sweet orange and lemon

This casserole definitely fulfilled my comfort food fix that I have been craving lately. I was a little nervous to make it because I wasn't sure how my husband and I would like the cauliflower being the main food in the dish. Turns out, we both loved it! Josh actually asked me if I would make it again :)
I have completed the 17th week of my half marathon training. ONE more week until race day!
Tuesday: 3 mile run
Wednesday: 5 mile run
Thursday: 3 mile run
Saturday: 13 mile run
That 13 mile run was HARD. The last 3 miles were a legit struggle for me to complete. I slowed down tremendously, but I did it! I am excited for my first half marathon on Saturday, but I am also pretty nervous. Just not knowing what to expect I suppose. However, I can honestly say that I am proud of my hard work to get to this point, so bring on the race!
Time for the start of another great week - Happy Monday!
It must be the change of seasons that has me all giddy about fashion, but I have loved following the new trends lately. This post includes some of my favorite styles that I have been seeing, and some that I have even copied for my own closet. That means I will have some 'Pinspiration' posts coming up soon too!
Black Maxi Skirt:
Army Green Jacket:
I am SO in love with statement necklaces right now, that they deserve they're own post! Stay tuned :)
Which style is your favorite?
Have you ever had those moments where you know everything would be better if you could just have some chocolaty goodness? Me too. This perfect little single-serving chocolate cake is just the ticket. It takes less than 10 minutes to prepare, and just zap it in the microwave for 2 minutes to bake.
Whisk together the following ingredients in a large mug or small bowl - -
1/4 cup flour
5 Tablespoons sugar
2 Tablespoons cocoa powder
3 Tablespoons milk
3 Tablespoons vegetable oil
a dash of vanilla extract
a dash of salt
top with chocolate chips (optional)
Microwave until puffed - about 2 minutes
top with a dollop of almond butter (optional)
I will go on record to say it is not the absolute best cake I have ever tasted (I am not even a huge cake fan), but when you are sitting at home and the unbearable chocolate craving hits, this could be your savior :)
Last Saturday, my half marathon training program called for a 12 mile run. My husband and I have been training together, so we decided even though we would be out of town, we would still make sure to get the run in. The 12 mile run was our longest run ever!
We were visiting family in PA, so we ran some trails close by. It was nice to switch up the scenery, so of course I had to snap a few pictures.
To be completely honest, those 12 miles were TOUGH. Towards the end there were a few hills to climb, and I don't even think you could call what I was doing running...it was more like shuffling. However, I completed it, and that was my goal.
I wish I would have snapped a photo of our cheerleaders as we came running into the finish. My mom and sister were 'woo hooing' us for the last few minutes, which made me smile :)
Getting close to race day - less than 2 weeks to go!
In case you can't tell, I am a HUGE fan of smoothies. I love trying new concoctions of fruits / veggies / oats / etc. and if they turn out to be pretty tasty, I like sharing the recipes with you :)
Newest breakfast smoothie: Cocoa Oats Smoothie
3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup Greek yogurt
1/4 cup oats
1 Tablespoon ground flaxseed
1 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powder
a dash of ground cinnamon
1 small banana, preferably frozen
(I also added a shot of chia seeds)
Blend all ingredients together in blender until smooth. Enjoy!
Sometimes a good quote or inspirational word can turn my day around. I had a couple days like that this week, and here are some of my favorite that I came across.
I hope you all have a wonderful Easter weekend!
He is the reason for the season!
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
